Self-mirrored - an image to look at

Funny huh?

Sometimes you really have to take a step back and see the bigger picture.

At one point, I looked at things in my own view. I figured if I saw it my way, I could do it my way. If I saw a chance at a relationship, I’d take it for my own to mold and go with.

Probably not the right mirror to be looking at. When I look in the mirror, I tend to forget all the fine details. It’s not just what I see, but it’s what’s around - squinting your eyes to see exactly whats there. My own picture turned out to be MORE than meets the eye.

To be quite frank, my weak spot has always been relationships. I’ve been in and out of relationships and even almost-haves. Those almost haves were ALMOST because I controlled what I thought was the “one”. If I tried to FIT MYSELF into the mold of PERFECT GIRL, then all insecurity would be done with. Trying to FIT MYSELF into something I wasn’t, let’s say, didn’t quite feel comfortable. Try squeezing into a pants size that’s not really your size and it’s too small - uncomfortable right?

That’s me: uncomfortable jeans.

I figure, be me. Details are important! I shouldn’t try to use my OWN view of how things should work, rather let things be. What I see is what I see - I shouldn’t try to change the image or “photoshop” the fine details. It is the way it is, and only one person knows just how the picture should look - God.

Lesson learned, an image is just an image, but when taken a step back - it’s a whole beautiful picture… one of which God created, not you.

A Friendly Reminder…

ENCOURAGEMENT:

Tweets may be Tweets, but it’s all the underscore of the meaning.

My relationship w/God is between me & God NOT you so get out…”

@RoxanneHaziel

Sometimes we need to be encouraged by our brothers and sisters! We should share that same fire with others. God’s there for us all the time, but we must share the good news! Focus on God - but don’t forget to share the outward love too!

CATCH HIS FIRE & CARRY HIS FLAME! <3

THANK YOU!

A blast from the Past - www.xanga.com/roxykai03
4 Years ago yesterday (20th) was the last time I posted on xanga. Oh how God saw something in me 4 years ago. Japan was always on the tip of my tongue - fingertips. Little did I know that 4 years later I’d be doing a missions trip in Japan.
God - you continue to amaze me.

Came across this song browsing YouTube:

You Don’t See Me - Josie & the Pussycats

I’m speechless and faded, it’s too complicated.
Is this how the book ends, nothing but good friends…

Talk about how insecure I was back then. I believe this was one of those songs I had on repeat during my “EMO” moments.

Am I ever glad that God got me through those rough times. It’s all about growth and not what will hold you back. Move forward because there are more things in store than what is here NOW.
